Hey guy's. Has anyone installed Win Vista x64?

 

I can start WOV, WOE, SFP1, but after a Mission crashed the game and i see my Desktop.

 

Anyone an idea, patch or whatever???????

TK from Third Wure has stated that SF,WoV, WoE, and FE are not currently supported by Windows Vista, due to the aforementioned titles being incompatible with DirectX10.

didn't they say something about Vista being backwards compatible with xp programs?

Had the same problem with Win 98Se. Heres a workaround that worked for me and also worked for a Vista user. ThirdWire Forum Regards

Now, please don't tell things that are not correct

 

the SFP1 familly does run on Vista!!!!

 

I didn't check the 64 bits edition, but the 32 bits (but with the right drives, it should be the same under both systems)

 

What needs to be done is to install the latest version of DX 9.0C on top of Vista, as thirdwire flightsims do look for it in order to run..

 

My experience showed me that both DX run on the same system

 

This was tested under RC2 version,

 

AND DO A RESTORE POINT before acting!, if anything goes wrong, you'll be quiclky back to your previous working environnment
