Since the site upgrade I can't do a search of the forums.

I get this message:

Board Message

Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.

Doesn't matter if I use the advance search options or not, nor does it matter which forum I am in.

It's just the way you're searching. The letter minimum per word is three letters. So words like "an" "by" "to" and so on will cause this error. The reason why is because just imagine the amount of posts with two letter words and the search that would have to perform to get the results. The search option has been defined this way so that we don't have searches that have enormous returns.

Try leaving those words out of your search and use only key words.

Let me know if that helps.

Thanks, Erik

That's not the problem, I found out early on not to use small words - a reply used to come back and state this.

I have tried with various options checked and unchecked.

Okay, well then you must be hitting the hard limit for search requests per second. You are only allowed 1 search per 5 seconds. Is that the problem?

Not that either, couldn't even do one search, but.......

........All ok now.

I did a search before replying and ok. Did several... and ok.

Just a glitch maybe.

Thanks Craig
