Having 12.5 years in the USAF, there are times I wish I were a squid. I'd love to have been on carriers! Nice pics!

Well,

 

I must say this about being on a carrier. Now that I am retired, it is so easy to reflect back on the excitement of life aboard an aircraft carrier, but not to think about the not-so-nice living conditions. Perhaps the newer ships are better, but the older ones, i.e. the Sara and the Indy....were pigs. Oh, they launched and recovered aircraft just dandy. But life aboard them sucked!

 

Retirement is great. One can think only of the positive aspects of things if one chooses....
