WOE carrier camp, vector to home base, wrong location?

Recommended Posts

I edited one of the WOE stock campaigns to a carrier campaign with an F-18. Works great. One thing I noticed, when I ask for vector to home base, it always gives me the wrong location. I think it directs me to where the carrier was originally (not sure). I have to leave it in autopilot to find the carrier. Any way to fix this?

Not sure - I only use the waypoints or ground radar myself.

I had the same problem with WoV. I think that the waypoint is considered static, even though you're launching from a moving object (which is doing, what? 15 kts? usually 65kph for me). The carrier moves constantly so it should just be a straight line from when you launched. I'm not sure since my carrier's not working anymore

Are there any in-game stall issues if the carrier's moving slower or is stationary?

Didn't think of ground radar. That's a good idea. Gotta admit I never really use it that much.

I'm pretty sure in WOV carrier campaigns, you ask for a vector home and it will get you pretty close to the carrier. WOE not even close, like 20 miles not even close.
