Where are sounds goverened in S.F. , specifically the sounds of aircraft other than yours.

I believe each plane has its own sounds assigned, listed in the XYZ_DATA.INI for that plane. You'll see a line under [sound] that will tell you enginesoundname=jetengine or something like that, as well as afterburnersoundname= and damagedenginesound= lines.

 

I could be wrong, though.
