ShrikeHawk Posted June 17, 2007 Posted June 17, 2007 Hi - I have been changing the default sounds on my WoE installation. Actually, it's a copy of the original install. I have changed the mainscreen, singlemission, and loading sounds successfully with music from my own collection. But for some odd reason it's not working for the HangerRadio1.wav sound. Does this particular one have any special needs to work properly? Has anyone else ever changed it successfully? If so, what did you do to make it work? Thanks for any suggestions Quote
HrntFixr Posted June 17, 2007 Posted June 17, 2007 I changed mine by simply re-naming the new wav to HangarRadio1. lemme check something else................... yep that's all I did....... make sure you got the name correct.... caps sensitive maybe Ah i re-read your post hangar spelled with an "a" not an "e". Wrench Posted June 17, 2007 Posted June 17, 2007 Yes indeed....as my mother taught me as a young lad, "a hangar is where you park your plane, a hanger is what I'm going to beat you with, if you don't clean up your room" Wrench kevin stein Quote
ShrikeHawk Posted June 18, 2007 Author Posted June 18, 2007 Ah i re-read your post hangar spelled with an "a" not an "e". Gads! That's it! How embarassing! That was the problem, thanks so much. So here's what I'm doing: I'm building a copy of my WoE installation into a Vietnam Era sim. I've made a "Vietnam Era" MainScreen window. Made clips from my music collection for the sounds: - MainScreen = The Grass Roots "Live for Today" - SingleMission = Norman Greenbaum "Spirit in the Sky" - HangarRadio = Ringo Starr "It don't come easy" - Loading = Spencer Davis Group "gimme some loving" For the failure page I plan for: Blind Faith "Can't find my way home" For the success page I plan for: Jimi Hendrix: "Voodoo Child (slight retrun)" I'm having fun getting that "Vietnam feel" into it, hehehe. Thanks again for the help. Quote
