Guest capun Posted June 29, 2007 BTW, have you read TK's decal tutorial? It helps if you have not read it. It was done for SFP1 but it applies to all of his current sims. Basically you declare the Decal location via the Decal.ini for the skin. Now I am assuming that you have done the decal correctly. You can declare the decal to be oriented: RIGHT, LEFT, TOP, BOTTOM, FRONT and BACK. You need to be sure that you use the correct name, for example a fuselage decal most likely will be declared a RIGHT and LEFT and the wing decals as TOP and BOTTOM. The decal location has two numbers, all numbers are referenced from the 3DS Max Model World Center. RIGHT & LEFT numbers locate the decal along the Y-Axis (plane lenght) and Z-Axis (plane height), positive numbers are to the front and top of the plane. TOP & BOTTOM numbers locate the decal along the X-Axis (plane span) and Y-Axis, positive numbers to the right and front of the plane FRONT & BACK are seldom used, the numbers locate the decal along the Z-Axis and X-Axis You need to declare the decal in the proper mesh name, so for example if the Fuselage is broken into Nose, Fuselage and Tail meshes, you need to know what mesh name to use. You can overlap over the meshes, but you have to declare the decal twice, once for each mesh. This is done a lot for tailfin and rudder decals. Look for the OUT file if provided for the mesh names. Remember that you are only allowed 4 decals per mesh.

Guest capun Posted June 29, 2007 Aviatik Mesh name should be Tail and your location should be around -2.6, -0.
