While the plane is gone (hopefully temporarily), the fine folks who build, work on/with, flew, maintained, and supported it are still kicking! Check out the action -> www.tomcat-sunset.org

One year. I remember that day and always will. I went to the U.S.S. Intrepid museum in NYC that day. When I saw the date for the trip and the F-14 retirement date I quickly signed up to go with my Civil Air Patrol Squadron. First thing I did as soon I we got on the deck was go to the F-14D prototype. I literally fell onto my knees and wanted to cry.

I'll always miss her. She was the first fighter jet I knew. So I've always felt very attached to it. Then my first airshow, one an F-14D, was there. I think I might have kissed it  :blush2: .

I'll never forget that bird.
