I'm trying to find a Christmas present for my husband who has become interested in the B 26K Counter Invader. When I do a Google search, it comes up with a B 26 Marauder. Is this the same plane?

I'd like to get him a 2008 calendar with photos or pictures, does anyone have any ideas if this exists, or where I might find one?

Thank you.

Hi there SnowLady Mam.

First of all welcome aboard.

Second, I think you are looking for this.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B-26_Marauder

I short, the invader was designated A-26 but we are talking about the same plane in general.

That I think is the answer to your confusion.

Cheers mam.

There is some confusion with the B-26K CounterInvader.

The original Invader during WWII was the A-26B and A-26C. During WWII there was also a B-26 Marauder, a different plane.

After the war the A-26 was converted as the CounterInvader and the designation changed to B-26K.

I disremember the exaxt URL, but try 'calendardepot.com'

I've ordered many of my aviation art calenders there. Also, check HistoricAvaition.com ... great selection of books on all kinds of things that fly.

In my somewhat largeish collection I really don't remember seeing to many of the A-26 Invader (as Capun said, post-war B-26), but one of the old one, 2001 or 2002 had a B-26 maruader artwork, I think by Roy Grinnell. Belive me, Invader art is VERY hard to come by!!!
