feldwebel Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Just bought the game not too long ago and I noticed that I don't get a star to fire unless i am 10nm from a target. Aren't Aim-120's supposed to lock on from much farther?
+Ruggbutt Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 It depends on target aspect and airspeed. In Lock On you don't get a star, your lights on the canopy bow turn orange when you're in range.
+Muesli Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 It is also possible that your radar range is set to a distance too close..... Widening that range normally does the trick!
feldwebel Posted December 13, 2007 Author Posted December 13, 2007 I'm using simplified radar. I see the orange lights about 9 miles from a su-27 but I wouldn't call that beyond visible range for an aim-120. How close do you usually have to be for an aim-120 to lock? and how do you extend your radar range?

Go to this folder and print this out C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Eagle Dynamics\Lock On\Doc this is the key commands.
