Thanks for your Terrain Tutorial. I am trying to create a terrain using SFP1 texturelist. I succeed to create the

first steps (copy/rename of the .ini and .hfd and .tfd), copy of the textures, importing the dem file (I found that I had

to decrease a lot the height % to get a reasonable height for the mountains). But each time I am trying the Autotexture

feature I get a CTD. I can fly over the terrain if I use the stock .tfd file but the textures are misplaced. Using the

Transition textures is OK. I have checked that I have all textures in the texturelist folder as 256 x 256 pixels .bmp files.

Do you have any idea, why the Autotexture feature fails ?

There are two versions of TE. For SFP1 i use the old version, for all later terrains i use the new version. I dont know, why the CTD happen.

Describe in detail what you see before and at the time of crash.

 

For example, does the CTD happen at the end of the first Autotexture progress bar, where it seemingly hangs, and then you get crash message?

Lexx, its exactly what you say. CTD at the end of the first procedure.

 

 

Ansons2. I think i have the solution. To solve the problem i tried to open the SFP1 standard Desert terrain with the TexturelistDesert.ini

Then i autotextured the terrain saved the texturelist and from this moment it was possible to autotexture any other terrain with Desert tiles.
