Silverbolt 104 Posted April 16, 2008 Brazil signs agreement to develop multifunctional game with Russia (From the Editor, April 16, 2008) According to information released today by the Associated Press (AP), the governments of Brazil and Russia have signed yesterday a memorandum of understanding aimed at the joint development of a hunting supersônico multifunctional, 5 th generation, and also of satellite launch vehicles (rockets). Speaking to the press, the Minister Roberto Mangabeira Unger (quoted by the AP) said that the agreement will result in the creation of a combat aircraft of the 5 th generation, generated with sophisticated technology, including composite materials, technology "stealth" (aircraft detection of difficult radar) and advanced electronics (including a multifunctional radar). The agreement would have been signed by the Unger (by Brazil), and the vice-secretary of Russia's Security Council, Valentin Sobolev, and include the construction of rockets capable of bringing to space satellites of various categories. Today, Brazil has today launchers (rockets) to small and medium sizes, which are launched from the base in Alcântara, in Maranhao. According Mangabeira, the agreement also encompasses the field of cybernetics, which he considered essential - "because it is a field essential to the defense and the technological evolution of our industry." In this sense, the whole agreement was established with the basic question the transfer of technology, a point always very seconded by Brazil. Already Sobolev wished to classify the Brazil as "a key country in Latin America." According to the vice-secretary Russian, another of the ideas of the cooperation agreement signed yesterday will be the option to Brazil for an alternative to the GPS (global positioning system, based on orbital satellites controlled by the USA). Russia now has a similar system for positioning, the Glonass. The agreement, yesterday was "anticipated" by ASAS with exclusivity, for over four months! On December 12, 2007, ASAS (through its website) was revealed with ineditismo world that Russia had offered to Brazil to participate in the program-PAK FA (a multifunctional combat aircraft of the Russian 5th generation); contrary to the disseminating press vineyard, a new Russian proposal directed to the Brazilian Air Force, seeking a future of combat jet multifunctional ( "Competition FX 2") is based on Sukhoi Su-30MK and Su-35-1. Earlier this year, however, after the trip of the Minister of Defence, Nelson Jobim, to France and Russia, the overall impression is that the Brazilian agreements in the military field would benefit mostly the French, with the possible licensed production in Brazil the attack submarines of Scorpéne (nuclear propulsion), the multifunctional Dassault Rafale jets, helicopters and transport of heavy-medium tactical Eurocopter. Of these, however, it seems that so far, only the agreement of the submarines is materialised. The agreement yesterday, however, if it is fully confirmed, this scenario changes completely. http://www.revistaasas.com.br/index.php?AS...91&LE=atual YEEEEEEEEAH! direct for a 5 gen fighter! kct 5 Posted April 16, 2008 Man, we should be joining the PAK-FA partnering game too, since we are a little too eager to buy anything from Sukhoi these days (our Su-30MKMs were proof of this, and yes, the people liked it).

Silverbolt 104 Posted April 17, 2008 Yeah, there. If we decided to join in we could even have 5th generation fighters forming our second MRCA squadron. Cool i think this project need more pathners as it can conquer, or it will be nothing. A lot of nations are part of JSF, and it's costing a lot of trilions well i almost assimilate cost with quality and confiability.
