Icarus999 Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 I believe i have followed all of the instructions here- i have taken all of the files from the mirage factory F-14A and placed them in a folder remamed f-14d- all LODs were replaced with the ones from the Iran tomcat by MF as per insrtuctions the new F-14D data was added to the data files and all of the new files from the F-14D mod were added to the folder- the game does not recognise and load the F-14D for selection in single mission play. this is the A/B/D mod- could some one set me straight on this upgrade? the insructions read as follows- F-14A/B/D there are 3mods f-14a high viz color f-14b low viz color f-14d low viz color f-14a and f-14b are the same mod the only difference are the colors select the CONTENT of the selected F-14 aircraft folder and copy it into your aircraft folder what you need: You have to get the LOD.FILE´S only from the F-14A IAF (IRAN) and drop it in to your F-14A/B or D folder the F-14A IAF is available here in the download section and at Column5 one of this line´s below you have to add to the NOSE section in the DATA.INI select the one that you need for the aircraft you gone make SystemName[009]=F14A SystemName[009]=F14B SystemName[009]=F14D [Nose] ParentComponentName=Fuselage ModelNodeName=nose DamageRating=DESTROYED MassFraction=0.262 HasAeroCoefficients=FALSE MinExtentPosition=-0.473, 9.1,0.339 MaxExtentPosition= 0.683,0.783,-0.426 CollisionPoint[001]= 0.00, 9.0,0.3 CollisionPoint[002]= 0.00, 9.0,0.25 CollisionPoint[003]= 0.00, 0.7,-0.406 SystemName[001]=InternalGun SystemName[002]=FuselageFuelCell1 SystemName[003]=Pilot SystemName[004]=CoPilot SystemName[005]=NoseGear SystemName[006]=Canopy SystemName[007]=BottomFuselageLight1 SystemName[008]=GearLight SystemName[009]=F14D you have to add the line HERE __________________________________________________________________________________ one of this entry below you have to add to the Crew section in the DATA.INI select the one that you need for the aircraft you gone make [F14A] PilotModelName=F14A SystemType=PILOT_COCKPIT Position=0.0,0.0,0.0 [F14B] PilotModelName=F14B SystemType=PILOT_COCKPIT Position=0.0,0.0,0.0 [F14D] PilotModelName=F14D SystemType=PILOT_COCKPIT Position=0.0,0.0,0.0 // Crew --------------------------------------------------------- [Pilot] SystemType=PILOT_COCKPIT PilotModelName=PilotV1 Position=0.0,4.95,1.38 SeatModelName=seat_f-4 SeatPosition=0.00,4.89,0.94 MinExtentPosition=-0.329, 4.637,1.344 MaxExtentPosition= 0.329, 5.522,0.43 CanopyNodeName=canopy HasArmor=TRUE ArmorMaterial=GLASS Armor[FRONT].Thickness=20 [CoPilot] SystemType=PILOT_COCKPIT PilotModelName=PilotV1 Position=0.0,3.25,1.36 SeatModelName=seat_f-4 SeatPosition=0.0,3.21,0.94 MinExtentPosition=-0.329, 3.437,0.43 MaxExtentPosition= 0.329, 2.373,1.364 CanopyNodeName=canopy [F14D] PilotModelName=F14D SystemType=PILOT_COCKPIT you have to add the entry HERE Position=0.0,0.0,0.0 // Engines --------------------------------------------------------- _______________________________________________________________________________ copy the entry in to the ligths section and REPLACE the existing one with the one below // feux avant pod ECM [bottomFuselageLight1] SystemType=LIGHT Color=0.98,0.5,0.5 Brightness=0.02 Position=0.0,7.49,-0.60 LightSrcOffset=0.0,0.0,-0.1 LightSrcRange=0.5 CanFlash=TRUE FlashTime=0.70 ======== I followed all of these steps, I cannot seem to figure out what i did wrong. Lexx_Luthor Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 This is a seperate aircraft, in a different folder than F-14A? If so... Aircraft not appearing reminds me of something I often trip over because its easy to miss something in the names that are everywhere. Make sure all the data files are renamed with D. In all the ini files, make sure there are no F-14A, but F-14D instead. Quote
