+ST0RM Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Looks like I scored a Coronet next week and one of our stops will be Crete. I'd like to contact their equivalent to a PA officer to request a few hours shooting their F-16s and retired T-33s at the far end of the base. I know this is a long shot, but you never know. verde13 Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 (edited) Based on my experience with the 111 C.W. i'd say that it's highly unlikely. However you never know. Here are the contact informations of their P.A office. Maybe you could send them a letter or a fax. PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICE 115 C.W. 115 C.W. Αkrotiri Souda 73100 Τel. 2821005001, 2821005051 Fax. 2821045970 And some info about the unit itself: 115 C.W. Edited June 4, 2008 by verde13 Quote
+JediMaster Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Yeah, IIRC Greece is very secretive with its military units and restricts photography, planespotting, and all that. Quote
+BUFF Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 quite a few pics posted on UKAR with Greek F-4s etc. obviously taken on base so I guess that they have opened up some. Quote
+ST0RM Posted June 4, 2008 Author Posted June 4, 2008 Thank you for the contact info. It's worth a shot. Plus I'm a USAF aviator, so I'm hoping that allows me a bit more trust that I'm not a spy. I'd just like to see their Vipers in action, taking off and landing. Plus those T-33 are just wasting away at the end of the runway. Cheers, Storm Quote
