Guest MrMudd Posted September 12, 2003 2 year reserve peace Officer. I had the opportunity to Work the SLC2002 olympics for the Utah olympic public safety Command, and the U.S. Secret Service who were responsible for the planning and Secureity management of the Venues. In that capacity I worked and interacted with 640 US law Enforcement and public Safety volunteers. It was a great job. We had 8 peace officers from NYPD, Long island and other east coast agencies that were directly affected by this tragedy, at my specific public Safety villiage. I made arrangements with the 388th FW and the 419th FW with Representitives from those Squadrons that were from NYC area. We flew the U.S. Flags over the 9/11 site and Afghanistan, and presented the Flags to those Officers as our way of paying respect to the citizens of the world and thanks to the public Safety professionals that Sacrificed their lives innocently on 9/
HogFan 0 Posted September 12, 2003 I have been a volunteer fireman for the past two and a half years, and got my EMT certification this February... My father has been a volunteer fireman for over 15 years, I'd guess...But more importantly, he was in FDNY for 27 years and a Port Authority Police Officer for a couple of years before that. Just retired this year.
