Guest MrMudd Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 Here are some Screenshots of Refueling with a Tanker before pressing in to attack an Armor Column
Farris Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 Thanks MrMudd, Nice pics, could you please tell us how was it, was it hard to do, did you feel some kind of air turbulence when approaching? did you use some tip to guess the approaching speed? did the tanker guided you? Sorry for so many questions but you know how this wait is doing us :) Thanks again for the work you are doing. Best regards, Farris
Tomcat84 Posted September 18, 2003 Posted September 18, 2003 couldnt ya just land at the airfield down there? lol :P
Charlie Posted September 25, 2003 Posted September 25, 2003 MrMudd. Could you confirm the following please.... From the pictures, I cannot tell if there are the vectoring lights on the tanker or not. According to my research, tankers have lights that allow them to see their position in regards to the tanker as they approach. Does LO:MAC model these lights? Appreciate it!
Guest MrMudd Posted September 25, 2003 Posted September 25, 2003 Yes The KC 10 does have Distance and elevation indicator lights, and they work exactly like the ones in real life. in those pictures above the boom operator cabin is blocking them from the A10's perspective. being that the refuel door is in the nose, in the F15C it is easier to see. becasue the F15 pilot approaches closer and under the Boom Controllers cabin with the refuel Door past the left intake ramp nozzle.
