+X RAY Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 Finally I get i new machine, and then i've installed woi patched. I've set the nvidia panel to"let the application decide" and before I've tried to run all the other TW sims maxed out,sfp1(Korean) WoV(Yap) ,Woe all modded for example with the great cellinsky sky mod (some little fps drops on overcast in a few games or angles) all planes are flying great! Than I've tried to install Woi.... I all the other games the model lines are sharp without filters,in Woi are scattered....I've tried to set it on unlimited to get the same model level of detail like the other sims and perfomances fall down, tryied to set off mirrors, but nothing....I really don't know!! I've tried to run other games like world in conflict or cod 4 full maxed without problems and gaining fps I think I don't have problems with crysis too! I really don't know...and it makes me so sad cause all of other TW sims must be patched in future to woi standards... Any other have reported similar situations (on high settings is almost the same)? system specs: 4gb vram 800mhz,q6700 2,66ghzz,2X(sli)n9600 512mb,600w power supply, seagate 7200 rpm 1terabyteHD
HotNess Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 hi, well...i cant help ya so dunno why im postin.. ..you seem to have similar setup to me..with all the wov/woe/woi...and all mine are maxed out,you have a slightly more powerful puter than me and im runnin woi on unlimited with no real problem at all.
+ST0RM Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 See this thread. Apparently, you have to have AA turned on with WoI in order to get it to work. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showt...50&hl=Anti- Storm
+Stary Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 X RAY, Have you tried manually setting anizotropy filtering to x8 or x16? I have similar issue with WOI when setting Nvidia CP to "application decide" -other TW titles by default use high anizo and antialiasing settings, but WOI runs without them (at least without antialianing at all in my case!). I have 8800 GT 512, and as you have very powerful card(s), you won't probably loose a thing in frames by setting anizotropy filtering to high values.
+X RAY Posted July 7, 2008 Author Posted July 7, 2008 Thanks guys!I've tried it,and the shapes now are ok,but the performance is compromised!i don't know what happen,I've notice that sometimes overcast sky may cause fps drops, but I've tried a single mission with clear weather and is the same story! I'm running xp,i hope that future patches comes out both for single and multicore ore multi gpu's users!
+X RAY Posted July 8, 2008 Author Posted July 8, 2008 Is it possible that is caused by the latest vieo card drivers?is strange, refllied again, same problems
