How many beta's do they usually go before Gold?

 

Not impatient, just wondering what the norm is for this sort of thing.

Their is no fixed release.

 

Each subsequent build is troubleshooted to a level of acceptability then more features are added, tested and so on. Its all based on the developers master plan.

 

Once they have reached the point they have it all together in a functional package. then they start burning Cd's and packageing boxes.

 

So to give an answer? their isnt a norm or basis. Just a matter of good planning and execution of the testing to build a solid foundation.
