switch Posted October 20, 2003 Posted October 20, 2003 I just got my TrackIr thing, put a dot on my thick scull and fired up the Lo-Mac demo. So far, so good! After an hour of tweaking the sensitivies, etc. I finally got it working the way I want ... except, I can`t force the darn thing to pan upward more than maybe around 30, 40 deg. I wanna to be able to see straight up, along my lift vector or even past it. Sideways - there`s no problem. Did anybody else experienced that? I know, there`s a lot of variables: position of this, distance of that, etc. - I tried just about everything (except the right thing!) Quote
Charlie Posted October 20, 2003 Posted October 20, 2003 There is a limited FOV in the demo. Both NP and UBI are aware of the problem and have already corrected it in later beta's. The only thing you can do for now, in the demo, is press CNTR-R_SHIFT (note that is Right Shift) and that will give you better FOV. Quote

I found that solution on Lo-Mac forum couple of hours ago. It works! I`ve been flying the demo for the last 2 hours (to heck with work!) and can`t get enough of it. I gotta make some videos for some of my friends. They`ve been sort of sceptical about TrackIr and Lo-Mac. Now, I have to learn how to make the damn videos! I know there`s some Fraps or whatever it`s called. What would you suggest? Quote
Cudaguy Posted October 20, 2003 Posted October 20, 2003 FRAPS...unless you have a TVout vidcard then you can record your flight onto a digicam. I have used FRAPS to make an F2.5 movie, but I haven't used it yet with LOMAC. Cyaz, Cuda Quote
