future_tuskegee_airman Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 (edited) RAF Fairford was holding a military excercise, nice place to spot Gripen & Tornado action. These pics aren't my own. I found them online. Edited October 13, 2008 by Erik The author of these images has requested them to be removed. Please obtain appropriate permission before reposting. Quote
Spinners Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 A nice find FTA! I'm a bit out of date with the modern RAF and it's nice to see some colourful bands on the 12 sqd machines. Quote
+FastCargo Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 I wonder if this was the activity BUFF was referencing... FastCargo Quote
future_tuskegee_airman Posted October 10, 2008 Author Posted October 10, 2008 Thanks! I love the Gripen and the Tornado. Too bad the Gripen will never be flown without the drab national insignia. I'd love to see it with displayed with a little bit of color. It think it would look nicer. If only they had some Luftwaffe F-4's and Italian Typhoons...It would make the perfect combination! Quote
+ST0RM Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 I miss the European exercises. Us stateside -135 units dont get the good deal trips over there. The Guard/Reservists scam them all. Nice pics though. Storm Quote
