I believe that two carriers off the coast of Vietnam tried camo in 1966 combat cruises. The net results were that the planes were hard to fly formation with, and deck handling was more difficult at night - it was scrapped. Seen on RA-5C, F-4B/G, A-4 and A-6A that I know of.

The camo planes were also lost to enemy fire at a higher rate than the grey planes, though the sample size is too small to say for certain whether color was really a factor.
