Is it possible to have missile racks/launch rails fall off once the associated weapon has been fired? I vaguely remember reading about it years ago but I haven't been able to find anything about it after searching here and downloading a few models that might have used it.

off the top of my head I think you could set the rail up as a rocket pod able to hold the missile you want the I think the rail could be dropped.

You could make the rack part of the missile. Did that with the ALARMs because they use a specific missile rail that I haven't seen used on any other missile.
