Has somebody tried the new X360 Dashboard?

there are 4 days for official release but i heard somethings like install the game on HD(s**t, mine is just 20GB)...

it seems not be good but i want hear for someone that tried...

A friend of mine has. He hates it. He says it feels like it took aspects from the PS3 and Wii. I personally don't want it. I just hope the sounds are the same.

Wanted to play some CoD5 last night, so I had to update my dashboard.

 

There's one word that immediately came to mind to describe it, but it's not PC to use. So I have to resort to calling it lame. Totally reminds me of the few times I've played Wi. It's all cartoony and looks like it's made for little kids (ok, well...)

 

The worst part, was that before I could play, I had to pick an Avatar Character or whatever (JUST like on a Wii). I picked some dumb looking man/girl thing in a pink shirt with a mustache. Totally bugged the crap out of me...

So far, the only improvement I've seen is the 8-way chat/party system. Otherwise, everything they "improved" sucks. "Lame" fits it pretty well.

I'm sure I could have, but that was what irritated me so much. I wanted to play CoD5, not mess around with a dashboard...

There's exactly ONE good thing for me, and that's the ability to load games to the HD so they load faster and play smoother. Other than that, I could pass on the rest.

somebody know if an Xbox Elite HD is compatible with Halo Edition Xbox?

AFAIK all 360s HDDs work with any 360, regardless of make or color or whatever.
