No matter what the leaft says, I loved being under President Reagans watch. He was the first President I ever voted for. The man had a goal and he gave us the money and tools to do our job.

HAL-5 used to fly cover for him went he would come home to CA. That was until the Jarheads made noise about us infringing on their territory. At least nobody bot close to his Helo while being esorted by two or three Gunships.

I agree, Firehawkordy,

Ronald Reagan brought back a sense of pride to this country that had been missing.

I wanted so much to have his signature on my retirement certificate, but unfortunately, it was Comrade Clinton who's name ended up on it, as I retired in '97.

That certificate (which is given to all retiring military members) thanked me for my service. I destroyed it, by the way. There was no way I wanted a reminder that Clinton was, at one time, my Commander In Chief.

I hear ya Chief, Clinton was the reason so many of us left the military in the mid 90s. I dont know of anyone I served with who saw Clinton as our Commander in Chief, he was just another elected official to most of us. There is a difference btw people.

I hear ya fellas...I was in the Navy during the Reagan years, (77-84) and I loved the guy. Now that was a real Navy, 600+ ships with an attitude manned by men, none of this flower power coed crap. Id say that was a real good reason we won the cold war, no thanks to clinton and her filandering husband. grrrrrrrrr... <_<
