TheChief2000 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I found this on a site that sells cheap software a while ago. http://cheapoemsoft.net/software/pc/autode..._3ds_max_9.html The claim is that the software is purchased in bulk at low prices and it can be sold so cheaply becuase you are just getting a CD image with no physical material like manuals. I just wanted to know if anyone here has ever bought anything from this site and what do you think of it? Quote

Autodesk don't really sell you the software, they sell you a license which if you read through the EULA is non-transferable. I also don't think there is such a thing as an OEM install of 3D Studio, it's not that kind of product. Also check here Quote

If you're a student (or teacher) you can get an educational license for something like $600. Can't sell any work though, that was my method for getting 3ds, father teaches various computer classes at a college. Quote
