Seems like the tank was called the Joseph Stalin 3 as in JS-3. Then again my memory is fading.

Thanks (JS-3 IS-3), note: no use in Korea, was exported very little in the 60s 70s was used by Egypt against Israel. And also was used to crush the revolution in Hungary.

I believe that there is no J in the Russian alphabet, so they use 'I' instead. Hence IS-3 is the correct designation in Russia and the West uses JS-3.
