+FLOGGER23 Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 I am getting a 1:48 scale f-16c for christmas and it will be my first airbrushed model. But with all my previous models i cannot get the decals to look like the paint work, how do i do this? Hi, here is my best advice: 1) airbrush the model and be delicate. 2) look for model specific (like testors) gloss cote lacquer and applyit to the model; in this step i rather to use metalizer sealer. 3) apply the decals and once again be delicate; avoid leaving air bubbles and so on. 4) once again apply metalizer sealer, or gloss cote lacquer. 5) at the end use a flat lacquer to finish the model (unnecessary to tell you: let the model to dry completely) 6) voila!!! p.s. i ate a million of steps here so to get best results you can buy some modeling books which i did, so should you need assistance you can contact me. flogger23 Quote
