Okay, first thing is I've color coded what parts are what (I'm assuming here):

 

Green - Steering Collar

Tan - Lower Shock Strut

Red - Upper and Lower Scissors (2 parts)

Blue - Upper Shock Strut

 

The heirarchy tree would be:

 

Steering Collar

-Upper Shock Strut

--Upper Scissors

--Lower Shock Strut

---Wheels

---Lower Scissors

 

The Steering Collar would be linked to the rest of the main part of the nose gear.

 

The Upper Scissors, Lower Scissors and Lower Shock Strut would be animated for the 'shock' strut.

 

The Steering Collar is not animated, but moves using the SteeringNode= parameter in the data.ini for the nose gear.

 

That will take care of the 'shock' and nose wheel steering.

VAQ-129 retexture WIP, and good to see a little progress on the Rafale.... :good:

Since I'm pretty much satisfied with the skin, I'm going to just release the GBU-12 retexture here. It should be noted that this is based off of Thirdwire original files, and replaces the current scheme (should you prefer this one).

Started on a guided weapons tutorial, but need some help in what you are all looking for. I've got LGBs pretty much covered, but need any requests or advice..

suicidal is the modeler on that one, and JAT81500 is waiting on the model, so right now its based on how fast suicidal moves on it.

Nice work and worth the turtle wait, most definitely :good:. For the Su-25 I'm guessing you're going to give it a try?

 

And nice find on the site too... sorry for the delayed reply, but the Rafale is just nice...

For 50% it looks damn good abit of detail here correcting stuff there and it will be ready to go.. now I know how much work is in one of those birds!

 

realy looking forward to this one! noe we need a french carrier and if someone is making one (i need a kusznezow too :grin: )

I was a little complicated with the animations.

But mostly with problems when exporting.

My MAX did not export it.

And the polys were very high.

But this progress.
