+Soulfreak Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 (edited) just a little info: East german fighters / fighterbomber had only red numbers. black numbers were used for trainers / helos.... And the font of the numbers was different... Maybe the reference you´ve used is wrong! ;-) Edited January 23, 2009 by Soulfreak Quote
+paulopanz Posted January 23, 2009 Author Posted January 23, 2009 .... in fact the black numbers are on the the Mig-21U series. But I have a photo, too, taken from the web of that Mig .... I put it in the pack, take a look and tell me what you think of it. Paul Quote
+Gepard Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Yeah, Soulfreak was right. All of our combatplanes had had 3 digit red numbers. All other numbers like 4 digits , two digits or even 5 digits were forged or camoflaged. Mostly one number was overpainted or simple one "1" was added to keep the numbers secret. All other military aircrafts had had 3 digit black numbers. But dont worry, if i remember right the czech had black numbers on their combat planes. Quote
