fallenphoenix1986 Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 I had a thought last night however I've no idea how to implement it or if its even possible, is there any way to go about slewing the targeting cursor on the radar display manually? I ask as having flown ODS for the last few days I've come to find that finding a Mig in a Sea of Coalition aircraft is easier said than done if you were able to u go directly to make an educated guess at where the migs are likely to be it would make targeting far more efficient. fallenphoenix1986 Posted February 6, 2009 Author Posted February 6, 2009 Thanks but not what I had in mind, I know how to use the radar and weapons as they are. What I'm talking about is allowing manual control of the cursor on the display, ie. move left then down by comand rather than "Home" skip to next target. What I'm sugesting would be more akin to the radar control options in Lomac. Craig
+FastCargo Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 As far as I can tell, no such thing is possible in the TW engine. FC
+Fubar512 Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Slewing the antenna is not an option with the present avionics code, in this series. And, it would not make a difference as the scan limits which are designated in the aircraft's data file mimic the full range of travel, so, in effect, you are already using the maximum azimuth and elevation possible with that aircraft/radar combination.
