Sledge Posted December 12, 2003 Posted December 12, 2003 I can't seem to get the ctrl-r to work as I think it should. It saves the files as something other than a track file and then I can't play it back. Is this a known issue, or am I just a complete moron? It seems, to be able to get a play-backable (is that a word?) file you have to click on "record track" from the mission editor tool bar and then you are recording the whole thing, instead of just being able to record at will in any flight at any time. There is precious little documentation concerning the other features that are included with this sim, besides the sparse documentation for the basics like how to use the dag-gone Russian radar and missiles! I hope this is something that will be explained more fully, or fixed in an upcoming patch. Other than these things, I have to say that this sim one Sierra Hotel good time! I love it! That is all. - Sledge out. Quote
Yojimbo Posted December 12, 2003 Posted December 12, 2003 (edited) instead of hitting FLY press Ctrl+R and it will record the mission :) when u end the mission it will come up with the save screen, type in the name u want to call the track and then choose ur destination to save it :) i don't notice any performance issues when recording a track either, the final file size is just 1.5MB in size.. can't wait to get the avi converter fixed in the patch :) Edited December 12, 2003 by Yojimbo Quote

Turn it on when you need it then turn it off during the flight. I don`t think you can do this. I`m sure there`s is a way to edit the video. Cut out the stuff you don`t need. Haven`t tried it though. Sledge Posted December 13, 2003 Author Posted December 13, 2003 Ahhh, ok! Thanks for the help y'all! Y'know I've also noticed something else interesting. Twice now, when I've been recording a mission, I'll shoot down an aircraft during the mission but when I play it back it shows I missed! TWICE thats happened! I KNOW I shot those guys down! One was an AIM-9 kill and the other was a guns kill. Anyone else have this happen? Thanks again y'all! - Sledge out. Quote
