Hellshade 110 Posted April 12, 2009 So I'm flying for the bosche and trying to get the right amount of lead for a solid deflection shot on an Spad XIII. I get a few small puffs on him but for the most part he is slipping through my gunfire without any problems at all...until a German flak gun crew got tired of watching me miss and decided to slow him down a little. Have I mentioned how intensely fun and incredible this flight sim is? You definately need to be prepared for anything. My guess is the base commander doesn't like me and decided that rather than have to deny me another Claim, he'd just deny me the Kill outright and ordered the flak crew to shoot down the Spad XIII. I could have sworn I saw him smiling at me as I walked past his office earlier. Bastard. /salute Hellshade

Hellshade 110 Posted April 12, 2009 I usually wait until I am within 50 yards or less to open fire and it's even more rare that I bother to try a deflection shot at all. I just got impatient. /salute Hellshade
Duce Lewis 3 Posted April 12, 2009 Nice video HS Better it was a friendly AA Battery than a French one ...eh? I'm a D7 driver too Spads are sure tough More chasing than actual combat I point my nose far out in front of them Flying the shorter distance is the only way to degate their speed Happy Hunting,
Olham 164 Posted April 12, 2009 Not MUCH too far away, but still a little. As my rig is still too underrated for BHaH plus TrackIR plus FRAPS; here's an old vid you may have seen already; with some deflection shooting (pre TrackIR though).
