dsawan 624 Posted April 18, 2009 Hi, was wathcing this doc late alst night on military channel. Very interesting about the Cuban missile crisis of '62 with a lot of interviews with military officails, agents etc. whatw as interesting was that the program mentioned the Russians put on Cuba, battlefield nuclear weapons to deal with a planned invasion of the island after airstrikes. The 10 US divisions or 90,000 men that were planned to invade were not at all prepared for battlefield nukes and no doubt would have been incinerated from them.
