Balalaika Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 Hey Chaps, So, what do you veterans do about the huuge disadvantage we have versus an enemy that can fly through clouds (and therefore way above you) when we cannot, due to the atmospherics? There must be a work around, else I can't see how you could play this with such a big problem.
Balalaika Posted May 10, 2009 Author Posted May 10, 2009 Ok, read up a few threads about this topic and find its been said alot in the past and nothing to do about it. Oh well. Shame the AI isnt affected too, but not alot of choice in the matter. Apologies for posting before thoroughly searching for more info.

catch Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Some say setting your cloud slider to 5 stops AI seeing through them. That may help a tad.
Macklroy Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 While others say setting clouds to 2 makes them 'smaller' and easier to manuver around. I suppose you "COULD" turn off clouds all together. There really is no 100% solution to this issue. You just have to decide which option works for you. I set my clouds to 2 and just take my time to fly 'around' them. But this means I had to set my option to lead the flights all the time otherwise your flightlead can lead you right into one. S!
Macklroy Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 Don't honestly know why you're wasting power on 2, most machines run at 3 or 1. Did you read my post? S!
