OT- Ouch!... Very lucky man!

What are they talking about, "without opening his parachute"? He very clearly did open his parachute and it fully deployed, just not in time to bring his speed down by the normal amount. If it hadn't opened he'd be dead.

yeah... More sensationalist headlining!!

 

Put's me in mind of that Rear Gunner in the Lanc who fell thousands of feet and survived..they were going to shoot him as a spy.

 

And the Air Hostess who fell out of an aircraft that broke up in Mid Air...... all three have one thing in Common.

 

They all landed in snow

The chap who fell/bailed out of the Lanc came down through trees as well, before landing in the drift. Lucky bugger.
