OzJackal Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 I recently downloaded the FA/37 Talon or something like that, and I put the throttle up to 100%. My engine caught on fire after getting to 1600kts. Is there a mod or a way to stop engine fires from happening? Thanks :) Quote
+FastCargo Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Yea...slow down! Seriously, there is a setting somewhere in the Engine section of the data.ini that allows you to up the threshold of when the engine is considered to be overheating, just can't remember what it is at the moment... FC Quote
Jarhead1 Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 When fire is visible, EJECT, lol. Fire, and fuel, and hydraulic oil dont make so well for a good day. Quote

+PureBlue Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 If you cut power there's a chance to put out the fire. I got hit on a Desert Storm CAS mission in an A-10 today, starboard engine started burning, my cockpit all lit up, luckily it went out after I pulled back on the throttles. My ailerons were busted and when I checked the gauges both engines were running fine So I kept pounding the Iraqi tanks.. Made it home safely too. Quote
