Installing Patch 2..must Do This

Once you get the patch you MUST do a COMPLETE uninstall and I mean complete,then fresh install SF and patch one,then patch 2.if you don't do a complete uninstall some things don't work correctly.

I go better than an uninstall,I use the shredder utillity in my Norton A/V. Call me paranoid but I'd rather rip it out by the roots than have have something crop up later. <_<

I know most know to do this but some don't....look at SDOE..you have to install game-run game-install patch.I guess some didn't want to lose their airplanes and skins they installed andf terrains.

I hear ya, Dagger. You are absolutely right. It NEVER hurts to state the "obvious". You can potentially save a lot of people a lot of grief. Please, continue to state the "obvious". Hell, there's a lot more that I DON'T know than that I do know! :D

I tried the full remove/reinstall routines but it didnt work for me. Strange things

happened. Hangups, CTD, etc.

So i recopied my patch #1 game from a backup and installed patch #2. I also added the new weapons pack (see simhq). I did update all my terrains with the new desert.cat file but thats it.

Everything i tried so far has worked. Granted, i havent tried everything yet. So far, so good.
