start up res. problem

hi guys ..

 

i'm having some annoying problem ... i can't set the start up screen resolution to 800x600 !!

 

i have a good Vga card but somewhat old monitor that gives it's best at 800x600 res.

 

i can make the ingame res. change .. but even when editing the startup.ini file , and changing the screen res to 800x600 it keeps coming back to 1024x768 !!!

 

any help ? maybe some patch that makes the startup at 800x600 ???

Wow - you may want to ask Thirdwire about that - I would have thought the game only lets you chose a resolution that your system can handle - and that would be determined by Windows - if it has the correct drivers.

Menu resolution is defaulted to the size 1024x768 (same the background images and cause of a streched menu on widescreen TFTs).

However the actual ingame resolution will be the one you set under options > graphics.

 

Did you try a mission to see if the resolution is set?
