+LloydNB Posted June 28, 2009 Posted June 28, 2009 View File Amiot AAC-1 "Toucan" Amiot AAC-1 "Toucan" During the occupation of France the Amiot factory produced Ju-52/3m aircraft for the Axis war effort. After WWII the factory continued to produce the same aircraft but re-badged as the Amiot AAC-1. The "Toucan" was used by the Armee de l'Air and the Aeronavale until the early 1950s in Vietnam and Algeria. While the aircraft produced after WWII didn't have a rear gunner, all the current models of the JU-52/3m have rear gunners. Fire Fox may produce a civilian/transport version in the future. +paulopanz Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 (edited) I like very much this post war "Tante Ju", good for a French colonial campaign. I tried it on SF-2 putting the decals in the right place and turning on the shadows on, too .... .. a real beauty. Paul Edited June 29, 2009 by paulopanz Quote
+LloydNB Posted June 29, 2009 Author Posted June 29, 2009 Paul I'm glad you like it. Since I've put all this effort into doing the corrugated skin, it would be a shame to waste it. If you have any ideas of other Tante Ju skins you would like to see, just drop me a line. Lloyd Quote
+whiteknight06604 Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 looks awesome. Not sure but didn't Spain use them till about 1975 or so? Quote
+LloydNB Posted June 29, 2009 Author Posted June 29, 2009 I think it was Portugal. The last time I looked on Google maps there was still a few Amiot AAC-1s in pieces at a Lisbon airfield. Lloyd Quote
