'populate Airfield Faulty' and then

Recommended Posts

These messages I get when in Campaign mode. And then the mission does not start properly. How can I get over this?

This happened with my F2B in 1918.

When I swapped back to my BE2c pilot in 1915 I got the first message but not the second and the flights worked fine. (I am now at 31 hours in the BE!)

is there any chance that said "populate airfield facility"?

Ive either seen that message on mine, or seen it in a post....

if it were not for the fact its stopping you campaign game to load, id say just go to cfs3config..and disable warning boxes...

ok,,found the post i was thinking about.....

Ok I don't mind doing a complete reinstall - but I must keep my existing pilots - especially the one with 31 hours! Can I do this?

Sorry to say, I have never gotten over the problem. I still get the message every time I load a flight in campaign. I have still some planes that I cannot fly and time periods when it seems to crash the flight. I found that specifically if the campaign mission calls for attack ground targets, it never works... But I am not interested in attacking a ground target with a "fighter" anyhow. I can't put it all together and

cannot figure it out. After 3 total new installs I am no better off that I was. I can tell you like Uncleal has said in the past, "if it aint broke, don't fix it". I tried to do a reinstall in order to fly MP flights and from then on it has been a problem. Somehow I work around it but don't really have any advice.

Jim,

Suggest you email your problem to support@overflandersfields.com

Meanwhile, i will try some things here, and see if i cant duplicate your problem,,,maybe move some things out of my install, and see how the game reacts...

Maybe I'm missing something here, but why can't Jim go into his "pilots" folder and copy and paste his "PilotXClaims", "PilotXLog", and "PilotXDossier" files, ('X' being the numbers for each of his pilots), into a folder in his documents and then simply drop them back into his newly reinstalled OFF? I seem to remember doing this with one of my pilots when I had to reinstall the game.

Cheers!

Lou

Hi

Ok, i took my facility folder out of my directory, and got the same message that i think you both got,,,,

Populate airfield facility. Aircraft set up error

This is a shot in the dark,,,but i am going to attach my facility folder.

If you want, move yours to a safe place,,,,put mine in, and see if the problem still exists...

facilities.rar

Its a pretty smal file,,,117k

If you do swap the folders, and by some miricle it works, make sure you save your old folder. Ill probabley want you to send it to me

Raf, if that works great, but seem to remeber reading somewhere that pilot data was encrypted or something like that. Guess they didnt want us to be doing "saves" if you will,,,and if the outcome of a campaign didnt turn out well,,,just reloading all the saved pilot data. I guess if a reinstall was in the works, would not hurt to try,,,,id just backup any files i was going to be copying over.

Thanks for the "umpteenth" time, but it didn't work for me... Though I tried it once, want to do again. Going to be on a weeks of fishing and camping but will give it a try next week this time..again. Thanks for coming to our aid. someday, we'll get this figured out
