Visible damage

Recommended Posts

Hi all-

I know you can't see damage on your machine with the high res models, but I am not using these and still never see any bullet holes, wing damage, etc(and I know I'm getting shot up real good  ).

Do I have to adjust the sliders on the graphics configuration? I'm pretty sure right now I have everything but one (not the airplanes) set at 5.

I can see the damage....all the way from my lower wing after the strut being chewed up, or GONE! to holes in the wings...not super clear, but they are there.

I think my resolution is on 4 or 5.

zoom in on it, that might help.

and this comes from the faq:

Q19. In the workshop, the ultra high res aircraft skin detail says there is no visual damage. If I use that does that mean I won't see bullet holes, missing wings, etc?

A19. Well this is a new, enhanced, mode which bumps up the skin resolution. We like the visual difference but the price is that you will not see decals (bullet holes, canvas tear) but you WILL see broken wings on most craft. We were going to remove this option but found many of the team enjoyed it, so left it there as an OPTIONAL setting. Default is Normal high res.

No, badgerboy - I have slider for aircraft on 5 and see damage.

(Would you give me your hometown and country for the OFF Pilots map?)

My guess for badgerboy is Wisconsin. A mighty fine state it is too. My parents found me under a rock in Hudson, WI. back in '57.

You're right, Rickity! Nice of you to say that, some people in our respective states aren't so cordial, at least not during football season  .

Olham, I'm in De Pere, Wisconsin, USA, in the NE part of the state.

Uncleal- I'll try clipping my wingtip to see if that works.

I like my teams but living on the border as I do and spending so much time in Wisc. as I do and having been born there I don't get as silly/radical as some do.

Besides we're in the same WWI fight and the enemy is at bay.
