thewoo1 Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 I see from posts that OFF performs best at the highest resolution your card and monitor will support...However In all other Sims resolution impacted FPS..I have found I get better fps at the 1024*768*32 Than at the 1200 something..can you weigh in on this and tell what you guys do..ty thewoo1 Quote
Barkhorn1x Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 I did some testing on this last night and while my CPU is basically crap (Athlon 64 AM2 3500+ [2.4 Ghz]), my card is a heavy hitter (EVGA 9800GT 1Ghz) and I am able to run at 1920x1440x32 bit w/ decent frames (for me). And the sim looks fabulous. But hey, don't take our word for it. Just put your sliders on an acceptable leve and test your frames - via the "Z" key - at different rez levels. You will become a believer. Quote
sitting_duck Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 From what i understand,,its when some systems are running in the high fps that the game suffers,,,stutters,,,scenerey filling in, etc. By setting your resolution higher, it cuts down on your fps, and overall game performance increases. When i say game performance, belive what it means is how the game looks visually. Quote
