FRO8769 0 Posted August 2, 2009 View File Herbert Boy DR I 466/17 Jasta 14 1918 Original OFF skins/templates created by Terry “Makai” Kerby and OBD Software. Having served as a two-seater pilot with Schusta 30, Boy was reassigned to Jasta 14 in December 1917. He flew this DR I until he received his Fokker DVII. Was credited with 5 victories before his Fokker DVII was shot down in flames by an S.E.5a near Staden on the morning of 7 October 1918. His opponent that day was Canadian ace Camille Lagesse of 29 Squadron, who watched Boy bale out of his plane with a burning parachute. Badly wounded, Boy survived the jump but was captured when he reached the ground.
