spawn_facility icon on the tactical map?

Hi all, just a quick question to ask what is the purpose of the 'spawn_facility_**k**' (*=insert random number here) icon on the tactical map display and is there any way of hiding the icon (2x white circle icons) using the OFF manager settings?

Part of the mission and scenery/target code for OFF no I don't think you can hide them.
