Nick Tselepides 1 Posted February 5, 2004 One of the fun things to do in FS2002/04 is try and chase the AI aircraft and try to formate on them. Here I am with a Skywarrior chasing an airliner over Rio de Janeiro. I had to drop wheels and flaps closeup to slow down so I could take the screenshot. I tried with an F-14 Tomcat chasing the same aircraft and it was more difficult as the Tomcat is faster and I tended to pass him each time, then open wings to slow down so he caught up with me. Lots of fun. Try it some time if you haven't.
HogFan 0 Posted February 7, 2004 Don't worry Jinks, you're not alone...I routinely take off in a high performance military fighter (usually the F-101 Voodoo or F-15C that I have) and buzz by and form up on airliners, just for kicks. I had seen a screenshot a while ago from someone who had an RCAF Voodoo and managed to form up and "escort" a Russian "Bear." Looked really cool. Anyone know how I can get this to happen on FS 2004? Thanks...
Nick Tselepides 1 Posted February 7, 2004 HogFan, You probably need to get "TrafficTools", downloadable at the major sites, and make the Bear an AI aircraft, then assign flights to the Bear through TrafficTools--time, place, area etc and take off from a nearby spot and find it. TT should have all the relevant info in its Help files, Readmes etc. Nice to know I amnot the only one chasing AI planes. ;)

HogFan 0 Posted February 8, 2004 I believe it was on avsim.com, it's in the markings of a North Dakota ANG F-101. If you can't find it on avism, try fsfreeware.com. Search for Voodoo, F-101B, or NODAK. One of them should find it for you... If you still need help let me know. It's a fun aircraft to have!

Top_Gun 0 Posted February 9, 2004 That's my whole purpose of AI traffic flights. I love to make intercepts using the radar and then track them in or just follow one AI plane from takeoff to landing. Although it's much more fun doing this with fighters than helos ;)
