Three Jasta 17 Albatros DV's & more

Recommended Posts

I'll post these three Jasta 17 Albatros DV's in the morning. But for now I thought you might like a peek.

"Mops" belongs to Ltn. Julius Buckler

"ly" with the heart belongs to Vfw. Georg Strasser.

I'll also include a repaint of the stock jasta 17 DV to fit along with the other two (a weathered version with new wing colors).

Also I'll post a quick fix (repaint) of the F2b. Three versions. All with a dark olive wings and fuselages. One with red wheel discs and one with blue wheel discs. The third uses the stock wheel discs.

I'll need to do a bunch of decal work and painting to get you some historic F2b squadrons. Will take some time. But this will add a bit of color for now. Put one of them as the first skin in the F2b folder's "F2b Configuration Settings" to make it the default skin if you want.

Here are some pics:

I know you guys like pics. I do too.

Most excellent, as usual, Quack!

Can I make one small suggestion though?...And I only mention it 'cause I know you like to get these things right.

I think the F2b wing roundel colour ratios look a bit non standard. Maybe the blue needs to be a liitle bit wider?

Oh, and the fuselage roundel seems to lack a white outer ring?

Also, Is there any chance you could do an F2b in overall PC10? That is, without the grey front end.

Sorry, that's three suggestions, not one...

I agree 100% with you bucky. But I didnt really work on the F2b yet. All decals are still the originals. I just changed the Fuse color and wheel discs. I did it on mine for a quick fix to add a little more historical detail. So I figured I would share it with you all till I get a few of them right. The skin template is soo vague. I'm not sure what anything is. Lots of decal work to get them right. Thanks for the input though bucky.

Sorry, man...I shoulda known you wouldn't let that little innacuracy go!

While I'm here though, can I make a little request?

I was wondering if you could possibly have a go at the Bristol Scout sometime in the not to distant? Even if you just give it a bit of weathering or something, it'd look a lot better than it does ATM.

I had a little discusion with Capun1950 about that when I did the DH4. I think I'll do some work for it for sure. It kept showing up in FireCage's Plane Fest II. And it shows up in my early years single missions. It definitaly needs some new threadsyes.gif . I hope the A-Team will accept my work to get a final package release. In the mean time maybe I'll do one for everyone to use. Not a whole lot of skins for it. I think about three. Needs a lot of painting and texture. Will take a little time. But I'll do itgood.gif

Thanks for all your skins quack! What amazes me is that they all look so good in 512x512. Have you thought of releasing hi-res versions?

Not really Deep. I just find that the hi res models slow my system down a bit. So I just use the stock sizes. But they would look really nice I would think. Not a bad idea though. Maybe I'll try a couple
