+Fates Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Anyone tried the Demo. It's on my list to do tomorrow, I'm hearing some good things about it. M Quote
+starfighter2 Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 (edited) Very good stuff, game user interface is disaster though(if you ask me), otherwise, very good game indeed. Edit > Game does not like ATi cards(low performance), maybe some patch will fix it, or new drivers. I have nVidia 9600GT and with budget AMD X2 CPU(2,3Ghz) it runs smoothly with some details cut. FalconC45 Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 I'm having problems of installing the demo. I d/led the demo from 2 sites, one of them was the offical site for NFS. I kept getting this error that a 'binkwl.dll' file is missing. I doubt it that 2 sites have a corrupted file. Any ideas? Quote
JediMaster Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 That's the Bink movie player, which many games use for cutscenes and intro movies. Maybe try DLing and installing the latest version from Bink's site, if it's available? Quote

I'm at loss here... Falcon Edited September 30, 2009 by FalconCAF Quote
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 You can delete the demo and install insted GTR2 a more acurate and more realistic racing simulation.. NFS is mainstream sh*** Quote
JediMaster Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 The Race 07 demo on Steam is very good, and GTR Evo, which replaced GTR2, is an expansion for it. Quote
FalconC45 Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Ok, I'll look at the Race 07 demo. Thx. Falcon Quote
JediMaster Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 I've not played any of the recent NFS games, the last was in the 90s I think, the one before the Porsche-only release! I think they appeal to different segments. Simbin's Race/GTR/GTL is on the sim side, NFS is on the mainstream side without being pure arcade. It's all in what you want. Quote
