I was trying to use the gun editor, and seem to have now lost ALL a/c guns in my SF2:Europe install.

I looked at the KB, but did not see a solution for this problem.

Can anyone point me to a simple solution?

Thanks.

Delete (or better yet, move) the GUNDATA.DAT and GUNDATA.INI files. Assuming you have the proper directories in your objects folder, that should restore your guns.

Guns now work the same way as weapons, so you shouldn't be using the Gundata editor anyway.

Thanks, FC

Where should I move the files to? Or is it better to delete them?

I have the following directories:

Aircraft

Decals

GroudObjects

Pilots

Weapons

Am I missing something any?

Is there more on using the Weapons Editor in th KB, in a specific topic.

I'm having a hard time installing the F-35 mission gun also.

Thanks, again.

Have to setup a "Guns" folder in the Objects directory too.

Ok.

Create a Guns Folder. Place any guns from new a/c, example F-35, in the folder, then...?

That's where I'm getting lost. Do you have to use any editor to have it show up in game?

Thanks.

Exactly, create the folder, and drop the "25MM_GAU-22A" folder there, fire up the game and it will show up. Just remember the B and C versions have the gun, not the A version... It operates on the same principle as the weapons folder. Create a gun using the editor, and it'll show up.

Ok.

Now I get it.

Any tips for why I may have lost the guns for the a/c in SF2:E? Or how I can repair them?

Thank you.

That unfortunately I'm not even sure myself. Maybe you deleted the Guns folder by accident, but then again the Guns folder is for added guns, not the default ones. If they were for addon (third party) then maybe you're gonna have to reinstall them.
