+SidDogg Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Hello, all. Quick question. We all know about how decal are made to face LEFT and RIGHT, and TOP an BOTTOM. ...But what about... FRONT and BACK? Or FRONT AND REAR? ...maybe FORWARD and AFT? does anybody know??? SidDogg Quote
Wrench Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 I'm pretty sure that'll work, never actually tried it, though! I know Top/Bottom works for landing gear doors. I guess it would all depend on which direction the model's mesh is facing. I don't recall actually seeing FRONT or BACK used, as fer instance, gear doors are top/bottom (open/closed kinda thing) wrench kevin stein Quote
+Florian Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 I wondered about that myself a few weeks ago and tried it. At least "FRONT" works like a charme, but not sure what the opposite is. Just try "BACK", "REAR" or all other words meaning the butt! The number above the windows is used that way. Here´s the decal.ini entry: [Decal001] MeshName=Rumpf DecalLevel=2 DecalFacing=FRONT FilenameFormat=C-160NG/ESC64/BUNUM Position=0.0,0.402 Rotation=0.0 Scale=0.8 DecalMaxLOD=3 [Decal002] MeshName=Rumpf DecalLevel=0 DecalFacing=RIGHT FilenameFormat=Insignia Position=-8.412,0.287 Rotation=0.0 Scale=1.8 DecalMaxLOD=3 As you see, there´s no problem using "FRONT" and "LEFT/RIGHT" combined on the same mesh!
