+Fates 63 Posted February 28, 2004 SoV Beta Testing Begins! http://www.shoresofvictory.com/ Posted On Friday, February 27, 2004 By Chief-PhillipsIt's finaly here, Beta Testing application time! As announced a few months ago, we are looking for a new list of Beta Testers to make sure the quality of Shores of Victory is nothing but the highest. Testers will be chosen based on their Computer Specifications, how well they know Shores of Victory, and how active they are in the community. So, are you interested in testing? Assuming you said yes, head over to the Beta Testers Application and fill out the form to the best of your ability. Applications will be accepted until Friday March 5, 2004, at which time the form will be closed, and the best applications are processed. So what are you waiting for? Apply today! Also keep in mind, a good way to get yourself noticed among the applications is being an active member of the community, so be sure to take advantage of the week-long Registration period, and start posting on our Message Boards and idling in our IRC Channel. I'm looking forward to seeing some new faces around =) About: Shores of Victory Shores of Victory is a realism based Half-Life total conversion modification staged in the Pacific front during World War 2. Battles are staged in non-fictional environments, meaning you can actually take part in the outcome of the war! Shores of Victory is a class based first person shooter - upon arrival in game, you may select your team - the Axis, which consists of the Imperial Japanese Army, or the Allies, which consists of the United States Marine Corps. From there, you may choose your class - Rifleman, Squad Leader, Support Infantry, Sniper, Radio Transmitter Operator, or Corpsman/Medic. Each class has it's own special abilities and benefits, providing a high grade of realism and fun. After the class is chosen, you are able to choose your actual in-game appearance from a large selection of player models. Next, you are able to select your arsenal. You may choose your primary weapon, secondary weapon and ammunition, as well as many other important items. The possibilities are endless. Actual game-play may vary, depending on the map. Your assignments may include securing a village, taking a hill, rescuing captured POW's, eliminating the enemy, and more. Our high grade of realism provides in-depth firefights, realistic aiming and recoil, and realistic damage.
